Why We Built This Site
Public court access often starts with a simple question but requires choosing between several official channels. In Union County, public case research, calendar checks, clerk copies, court dates, and payments do not all use the same tool. The county has one Clerk of Superior Court office supporting the trial divisions, while the statewide eCourts Portal provides a public research layer. This resource organizes those routes so a reader can distinguish a live case display from an official clerk record and a calendar from a case chronology.
What You Will Find Here
- Docket routes: local explanations for criminal court dockets and civil court dockets.
- Date checks: a route to the court schedule and current state calendar tools.
- Public lookup help: how to use docket search fields in North Carolina eCourts.
- Record access: the clerk-centered process for court case records and certified copies.
What We Cannot Do
This is not a court, clerk's office, legal service, or state agency. It cannot retrieve an official case file, change a court date, make a payment decision, correct a court entry, remove or seal a record, or issue a certified copy. Those matters belong with the Union County Clerk of Superior Court or the court that has authority over the case.
- We cannot confirm that a Portal display is the official record.
- We cannot give legal advice or interpret a particular case outcome.
- We cannot decide whether a citation may be handled without a court appearance.
- We cannot promise that a live calendar setting has not changed.
- We cannot disclose a sealed, confidential, or restricted record.
For official proof or a certified document, contact the Union County Clerk of Superior Court. The public Portal is useful for research, but it does not replace the clerk's file.
Search Partners
Some content pages contain a search box provided by a third party. The provider controls its own service, prices, and results. A paid sign-up through such a service may produce referral revenue that helps support this resource. That arrangement does not make the third-party results a court record, and it does not change the need to verify court information with the originating clerk or court.
